We
are proud and excited to be introducing Newfoundland to the student
market! The Avalon Peninsula is refered to as St. Johns
and Canadas Far East. This region has some of the Provinces
most attractive natural environments and coastal scenery, shoreline
viewing of icebergs and whales, world-class seabird sanctuaries,
extensive wilderness and ecological reserves and major national
historic sites.
Arrive in St. Johns. Your group will be met by our Temple
and Temple Activities Director. Board your motorcoach. Participate
in an introductory city driving tour. Your group will see: Cabot
Tower and Signal Hill, the Anglican Cathedral and Basilica of St.
John the Baptist, Government House, Colonial Building, Newfoundland
Freshwater Resource Centre, Memorial University and City Hall. Check
into your accommodation. Dinner is in a restaurant (included). Enjoy
swimming in your hotels pool OR bowling OR an evening of traditional
music! Return to your accommodation. Overnight. Evening security
is provided exclusively for your group each night from 11:00pm to
6:00am.
Breakfast is in a restaurant (included). Board your motorcoach.
Depart for Bay Bulls. Participate in Gatheralls Puffin and
Whale Watch! Afterward, enjoy a hike along the East Coast Trail.
Students can purchase their lunch. Depart for Ferryland. Participate
in the historic Colony of Avalon Tour. Return to St. Johns.
Dinner is in a restaurant (included). Your group may choose to attend
a dinner theatre performance or continue with evening activities
options as outlined on Day One. Return to your accommodation. Overnight.
Breakfast
is in a restaurant (included). Board your motorcoach. Depart for
Port Blandford. Arrive at Terra Nova National Park. Enjoy an outdoor
eco-tour of this national park. You may also choose to participate
in a kayaking experience! Students can purchase their lunch. Check
into your accommodation. Dinner is in a restaurant (included). Enjoy
an evening of mini-golf or bowling! Return to your accommodation.
Overnight.
Breakfast is in a restaurant (included). Board your motorcoach.
Enjoy a scenic drive to Bonavista. Visit Cape Bonavista Lighthouse
Provincial Historic Site, The Matthew (a replica of John Cabots
ship which sailed from Bristol to Bonavista in 1497) and the Ryan
Premises National Historic Site (commemorating the sealing, inshore,
international and Labrador fisheries of the East Coast). Students
can purchase their lunch. Participate in a guided tour of historic
Trinity. Arrive in St. Johns. Dinner is in a restaurant (included).
Participate in an evening activity as outlined on Day One. Return
to your accommodation. Overnight.DAY FIVE:
Breakfast is in a restaurant (included). Check out of your accommodation.
Load luggage onto your coach and board. Visit the Johnson Geo Centre
followed by a visit to Signal Hill National Historic Site and Interpretation
Centre. Depart for the airport. Say goodbye to your Temple and Temple
Activities Director. Depart from Newfoundland.
