We are proud and excited to be introducing Newfoundland to the student market! The Avalon Peninsula is referred to as "St. John's and Canada's Far East."
This region has some of the Province's most attractive natural environments and coastal scenery, shoreline viewing of icebergs and whales, world-class seabird sanctuaries, extensive wilderness and ecological reserves and major national historic sites.
Ancient cultures, dating as far back as 7,000 BC, can be traced to Newfoundland and Labrador, starting with sub-arctic seamammal hunters, leading to Paleo-Eskimo, Inuit, Beothuk, Innu & Mikmak cultures, then Viking, and finally European settlers from England, Portugal, France and Spain!
